While explaining OCIP process to an undergrad friend, she replies:

"So who does the deciding where you work? Is this like greek rush?"

Is she really that far off the mark? Walking through Southside this evening, I saw gaggles of eager young ladies hoping to click with a Sorority; I couldn't help but think of the behavior of students (myself included) at the career schmooze event at Boalt this afternoon.

If she's not that far off today, then she totally hit the mark by the time actual interviews roll around. Hence why I quoted.

No joke - that's exactly what my property professor here at Davis likened OCI to - finding the fraternity/sorority that's right for you.

Perhaps. But a frat that hazed you for 2400 hours every year would probably be raided by the Feds.
