In Praise of $C
As a Bruin this may sound disgusting to say, almost as disgusting as that ESPN ad with the guy in the Michigan shirt and the chick in the Ohio State shirt making out, but I really hope $C shows no mercy today against Texas. I really can't stand Texas. More accurately, I can't stand people who attend that shitty conference talking shit about the Pac-10.
Fight on Trojans!

Mark my anonymous words: this game won't even be close. SC will blow Texas out of the water, revealing what a fraud mack brown and the big 12 really are.
Amen, Armen! This is one thing that Cal and UCLA (get your own fight song & mascot!) fans can agree on.
Screw you. We'll take your fight song (and make it better), mascot, AND your streets (Gayley, Le Conte, and Hilgard).
On a bit of a side note, I'm getting annoyed by ESPN and ABC always referring to the third national title for $C. It's not. This will be their second. BCS title game determines the champion, not the AP poll. That's what all schools in the six major conferences agree to. I really don't get why they keep doing this. But anyway, I still hope they prance around Texas.
This is a legitimate thrid championship. For decades the coaches poll and the press poll split the duty and sometimes there were two champs. No one gave the BCS the exclusive authority to say that the press poll can't determine a national champ. It has a longer pedigree than the BCS system. So, USC isn't going for its third straight BCS, but it absolutely is going for its third straight national championship -- once we acknowledge that one of those was a split title.
You can acknowledge whatever you want, but the conferences agree that only the BCS champ is the champ. $C had to change its own internal rules after that season to consider the final AP vote as a national championship. You can't agree to a set of rules and then discard it when those rules don't produce a result in your favor. Again, under the BCS there CAN'T be a split title.
Texas wins folks. That young QB is something. And he's going to stay in college!
Mmmm...Crow...
And in LA to boot!
did i hear something about a blowout? or about texas being in a shitty conference? matt who? nice one-peat, sc. very, very nice.
oh man, i missed the game...so what ended up happening??? did USC's awesome defense contain Vince Young?? Did Reggie Bush run wild on UT's defense?? I bet it was a blowout
Fight On!
looks like I spoke too soon.
Young has changed his mind and decided to go to the NFL rather than finish his senior year at Texas.
It's hard to begrudge him for making that decision in the face of millions and millions of dollars.
