Worst. Super Bowl. Ever.
Terribly played, by both teams. Terribly coached, on both sides. And the offiaciating was downright embarrassing. I'm not a fan of either team, just of football, but the Seahawks got totally jobbed.
What a joke.
Oh yeah, no really memorable commercials either.
Did anybody notice that there was a commercial for beer? Not any particular brand of beer, just beer in general. It wasn't a great commercial (apparently there was an industry-wide ban on those) but how awesome is that? The message is just: Drink beer! I for one am taking it to heart.
It kinda reminded me of the Got Milk? ads, but then those actually make sense. Last time I checked Lucerne wasn't really interested in pushing its own brand name over arch-rival Berkeley Farms. As I said during the ad, this is the closest that Natty Light will come to a super bowl ad.
Looks like USA Today's poll confirms my preference for the Magic Fridge ad, but then UCLA Neuroscientists think Michelob won. (Hat tip: Edmundson of LR).
The MacGyver ad was cool, but my favorite was the Sprint commercial with the guy who said his phone had a theft deterrent and then proceeded to chuck the phone at the head of his friend.
