Angelides Among Us / Wagons Westly
Cal primaries open thread. It's about as exciting as going to a second cousin's wedding or something. Actually if you feel you have nothing to say about the elections just talk about summer movies you've seen or can't wait to see. Isn't the remake of The Omen opening today? And who was in the original, Peck?

the commercials for The Breakup had me dying to see it, but then I read the reviews. Ouch!
My city had a bond measure for schools so I voted yes on that. I dont pay property taxes anyway! And won't be for a v. long time. :(
housing search continues, what a pita.
Everyone around me at my firm are getting their grades back. It drive me nuts that I have more than a month left to go before I get mine back. I want to know damnit!!!
Is it a good use of my time to prepare to apply for clerkships? Am I mathematically eliminated from the process before I even start? I don't know and I hate it!!!
Huh, this sounds like reason 6 for me to apply next year.
And speaking of inane ruminations, are the elections as boring as I thought such that only incoming 1Ls (who are desperately trying to be as political as possible before entering law school) give a damn?
Where can I find exit polls for the election?
The Westly people are a class act.
From today's Chronicle:
"When it comes to Angelides, it would be hard to single out his biggest liability because he's a walking Achilles heel," said Garry South, the chief strategist for the Westly campaign.
Way to rally the party around the nominee!
Ummm....primaries?
Yes, it was Peck in the original Omen, and he was pretty damn good too. Remember when he pried open the coffin in Romania and instead of a boy's skeleton, it was a dog's? Chilling. Classic.
Westly is a douchebag, as is Garry south. I have hopes for angelides, though i fear he might be crushed by the anti-immigrant immigrant gobernator. Either way, we'll have a long name signing our diplomas.
