Another Clerkship Resource
Rat Race: Insider Advice on Landing Judicial Clerkships. 110 Penn. State L. Rev. 835.
You should be able to get it on Lexis, Westlaw, or Hein. Sorry, I can't in good conscience post the pdf I received (forwarded around by another law school's career office, and then re-forwarded by a student from the law school at my firm. The copyright notice is on the front page people!). So check it out on one of those databases, and the Penn State Law Review will actually get some $$ for publishing a good article.

Props to Tom for being a good Boaltie and sharing the wealth.
Tom is there a type-o in your citation?
can't find it.
I think it just isn't up yet on those databases because it's the most recent issue, but I'm sure it will be soon.
Regardless, this begs the question, why hasn't our career office passed it around?
What does conscience have to do with posting a pdf? Heaven forbid that people who actually might find a resource helpful would have easy access to it.
Hey it might also be easy to download the new Chili Peppers album off the blog, but you know, there are laws against it. Then again, you can't easily get the album via lexis.
Ah, there does appear to be a shortage of access. I'm still loathe to post, but shoot me an email and I'll get you back with the article. Just [my first initial][my last name]@berkeley.edu We'll find some equitable way to make it up to the Penn State Law Review. Maybe just go on Lexis and download one old article of theirs?
I'm generally on the "we should be graded" side because I like to feel superior to my fellow students, but seriously if it takes over 2 months to get grades out, maybe we should adopt the no grade system.
jesus christ, aren't we done with the grade talk? they'll be up in like 3 days. i like to feel superior to gradegrubbing shmucks like you.
At this point, saying you want your grades is a bit too Veruca Salt for me.
Thanks to Tom and Armen for helping out with these clerk resources. If only the could decide for me whether its worth the hassle.
Actually, grades won't be up for at least a week. The registrar's memo listed 7/14/06 as the date after which grades will appear.
Credit where credit is due: thanks to CDO for sending us a copy of the article.
So is Terry Galligan going to get sued now for sending us the article? You know you're taking IP law (and yourself (and your "conscience")) too seriously when you won't post something that the career office sends around.
If you read the email closely, he got permission to redistribute it. And if I was the Penn State Law Review and I had scored a hit clerkship piece, in the future, I would send cease & desists to make sure people download it off Lexis and I get paid. That's how people stay in business.
