Anyone who can resist the big bucks at a firm has all my respect. I'd like to hear how non-firm people are reacting to upcoming OCIP, considering that the list of non-firm employers fit on one measly little page.
Most public interest or public sector jobs don't participate, and even when they do they may not make a decision until much later. It's definitely worth the trouble, especially if you can get an offer early and save yourself the stress that some go through trying to track down a pubic interest job that they like. In some ways it's much more work to get a public interest job than a firm job because they won't come looking for you.
