Well the Roman Empire does not exist, so how could there be peace in the Middle East? Personally I think that's a rhetorical question because there's enough hatred on all sides to keep war going for a while. But I am curious about Boalties' thoughts re the current fracas.
Oh and if I could ask for the bare bottom level of civility and maybe an avoidance of mentioning my firm, that'd be really dandy. Thanks.

hi armen, sorry to hijack but can you start a string about recomendations for fall classes/profs? thanks!
I mean I'd love to, but isn't it a bit too late? Second pass is coming up and by now most of your courses should be decided. Am I missing something?
And as long as I'm asking, do people have ideas for permanent threads? Yes, there will be one about grades, and another on classes/profs, probably one for text exchange.
how about one for firms, one for public interest law, and one for clerkships/academic positions?
no, it's not too late. some of us 3Ls have not selected our classes yet!
speaking of 3Ls, how about a thread for 3Ls who want to do OCI again.
Hey, have most 3Ls had second phase already? I don't have mine until the end of July.
Incoming transfer students will be selecting classes, so a prof/classes thread might be really helpful.
I'm a 2L, and my second phase isn't until August, so that would be a great thread.
As far as permanent threads...one on OCIP? Not necessarily the firms themselves, just general questions?

The Leboneese government says that it isn't strong enough to have thrown out Hezzbellah, but if they had really wanted to eliminate the terrorist breeding grounds on their soil, they could have requested support from other countries willing to help (Not Syria). Their luke warm (Some would say non-existant) attempts to prevent Hezzbellah from operating or raining death down upon innocent Isrealis is the reason for this offensive, and they have only themsevles to blame.
