Tomorrow You'll Walk Into a Bar Exam

And I wish you the best of luck if you are from Boalt. I have faith that this year we shall take the highest passage rate crown. And if you're nervous...just sit next to someone from Peoples [sic.] College of Law. Their application deadline for Fall 06 is in a few days (July 31).

Good luck to all the bar exam takers!
And is the Peoples College of Law mention a dig at Mayor Villaraigosa? He may have failed the bar a few times but he's doing well now.

CJ Burger went to night school at William Mitchell College of Law (then St. Paul College of Law).

The almighty US News ranks it 4th Tier currently.

Maybe it's true. It's not where you go, but what you do.

Torts/Remedies, Con Law, and then Contracts... And this morning the MBE's. My guess is that Thursday will be primarily California subjects.

Justice Jackson (like a good number of lawyers up through the middle part of the last century) studied law in a law office, not at a law school. He ended up prosecuting the Nuremburg trials and writing some of best opinions the Supreme Court ever produced. And he didn't need AmJurs/HHs/class ranks to do it!

Hey 10:17...in California you can still apprentice with a lawyer and then sit for the Bar. $20 if you drop out of Boalt and opt for that option as the start of your legal career. I'm serious. I have a $20 bill here with Anonymous 10:17 AM written on it.

maybe if justice jackson went to law school, he would have believed in the Equal Protection Clause.

the bar is indeed over, and i am SO relieved. however, taking digs at unaccredited schools is a pretty snotty and low down thing to do. rock on from your high horse.
