Super Ramble

Well, start trash talking. I hate the Bears...with the passion of a thousand hot white burning suns. I actually hate the bears because of their maniacal fans. Same reason why I hate the Phillies. (Speaking of which, did anyone else catch the story on the Penn Law kid shooting up his roommates? I wonder what pushed him over the edge, Yale, Army, or Penn Law?)

1. It wasn't me, it was Mad J.D.

2. This isn't on-topic.

3. You're more than free to go to the meeting yourself rather than barking orders like this is some truck stop diner.

There is also an amazing email feature on this site, in case you would all like to send in ideas for future posts and/or rip us new holes.

10:31, what I gave WAS the full report. If you don't believe me, check it out next time and prepare to have your socks knocked off. And I wasn't trying to make light of the talk. I actually did recommend that people check it out.

By comparison, a friend of mine went today and here was his (much more abridged) report of what Dean O covered:

"Don't drink too much...study...get plenty of sleep."

So basically by those three standards, anyone who is used to being a law student for the last three years is pretty much screwed.

Oh, and to get us back on topic, I still think the Chargers were the best team this year. Somehow, the Colts won with the worst team they've fielded for the last three, maybe four years. All in all, I thought the game was pretty underwhelming (there seems to be consensus to this effect) but at least the first half was close. By the end, though, it was like Rex was playing a game of three-flies-up, only instead of playing with his schoolyard pals, he was lofting it up to the Colts secondary.

Regarding the Dean Ortiz scare tactics, let's not forget she went to law school at CUNY. I suspect their bar passage rate is pretty low so she probably got a talk like the one she has been giving 3Ls when she herself was a 3L.

your mom barks orders in a truck stop diner.

are most people taking the shorter or longer PMBR? When?

PMBR sounds like a rip-off. BarBri covers the subject and it sounds like half of what you pay PMBR for is taking a practice exam and going over it. So, to answer your question, I won't be taking either PMBR

For what it's worth, I've had several recommendations to take PMBR as well as Bar/Bri. I think most firms will probably pay for both. Also, isn't the MBE weighted more heavily than the essays? If so, it would make sense to get the extra help. Plus, there has to be a reason that PMBR is still in business even though Bar/Bri covers the MBE, right?

PMBR is still in business because BarBri and law schools concerned about their passage rates have gotten students so scared about the bar they will fork over a few hundred or even a few thou to any company whose class they think they can squeeze in at the outset of the process. This goes double for people whose firms are footing the bill.

On a related note, does anyone have thoughts on the BarBri antitrust settlement?

Was the Snickers ad homophobic?

Yes, the Snickers ad was homophobic.

Now about that half time show, do you think some people are overreacting?
