Ready, Set, Teach

I don't want to detract from the OCIP or grades discussions below, so I wanted to pass along some information for those interested in teaching below the fold.

Prof. Harris has an e-mail list called the Boalt Boot Camp for those interested in a tenure-track teaching position. The appropriate audience would be 3Ls and alumni. If you're a neurotic 1L who thinks your dream is to become the dean of HLS, well just hold off. The BBC is more of a Nuts and Bolts kind of a list.

So if you're interested add yourself to that list. Somehow I'm on it, and follow along the announcements. Anyway, Talley is giving a talk on July 28, from 6pm to 8pm room TBA on the AALS form that you need to fill out for the meat market. And then there's an all day event on Aug. 22 in the Dean's Seminar Room that covers interviewing at the meat market, among other topics.

I formally object to tagging a post about teaching with "rankings and associated bullshit." And so does Tom Fletcher.
