Assassins

Just saw this on ATL. We used to do something similar in college, and it was a blast. I propose we try to get this started at Boalt for next semester. Is there interest? Sound off below.

I thought the OC at Boalt organized something like this.

Only if DE is involved. And his secret service protection. Wait? He doesn't get that yet?

Maybe they did. OC at Boalt was before my time and is now defunct. Sandy Cohen Fellowship, we barely knew you. Still, I think we can rekindle the fire for this, if not that dead soap.

This definitely happened two years ago, when I was a 1L. Someone nailed me in Eisenberg's Contracts. Bastard.

the OC at boalt did it every year during OC awareness week, except with squirt guns.

OC at Boalt used to do this. Shout-out to Aurelio Perez, who was the unnamed victor in 2007 and killed about half of the pool.

Yes, the OC at Boalt did this back in 2005. I came in second place because I was in the same room with my target and didn't have my gun. Her gun was in her backpack in an open pocket, and I will always regret not trying to grab it from behind and off her with her own weapon. She nailed me a few days later.

Because the game involved squirt guns there was a rule that you couldn't shoot anyone near an open laptop, so one of my targets always carried an open laptop with her. Until that one day she let her guard down. I think the sock approach would obviate that problem.

Also, Boalt hosted some kind of conference of federal judges while the game was going on, so there were all these U.S. Marshalls patrolling the halls while students were stalking about looking to shoot people. Good times.

That's my story.

The sock cudgel/slapjack is a pretty smart innovation. Water guns are fun, but they aren't the smartest idea when everyone is carrying around a laptop.

The last OC one was totally rigged, I got an LLM without a photo in the facebook, whose name was ambiguous as to gender. I could have been a contender!

I play this game every day, in my mind. I pick out a target, stalk them for a bit, then when I get close enough to whack 'em, I count it as a kill. I've off'd three people today already, and it's a holiday!

Anyway, I'd be down for organizing this if someone would help. Good find Dan.

Matt suggested silly string instead of a sock. I'm not sure how Admin would feel about that, but it sounds pretty fun. I'm down to help organize. Perhaps we can get BHSA involved?

The awesomeness of silly string would only be amplified by the administrations feelings about it. Think of the mess!

Is it alright for me to use my "personal" tube sock in this game?
