Another Reason to be Thankful
Today is the 75th anniversary of the repeal of the 18th Amendment.

Here is a Time Magazine article from 1930, as the repeal effort was building. It is a hoot. Now, go out and celebrate!

My life would be SO DIFFERENT if it weren't for those brave young men.
Anyone else bored as hell out there? I hate finals. It's not even the stress, it's the waiting. The seemingly interminable waiting. Would prefer to just get these tests overwith now.
If you think it's boring now, wait until you start practicing.
10:48,
You mean practice law, right? Not practice tests? Who does practice tests? It's not like they ask the same questions...
10:53 - If you're a first year you should definitely be doing practice tests. If not, probably less impt, but still useful.
10:11 here. I know practice will be boring, but the two weeks exam period - during which one is mostly by oneself isolated from friends, roomates, and loved ones - is powerfully boring. It is my fifth semester of exams though, so maybe I am just feeling a little burnt. If I am this bored next year in practice (and god, I hope I'm not) I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
To 10:53: I agree with 11:10. If you are a 1L, you should absolutely be doing practice tests. It gives you a chance to "test drive" you outline and your knowledge.
1Ls,
You should do practice tests if you think it will help you. If you don't think it would help you, or if you only think it would stress you out, don't do them. You know what works for you - that's what got you here - don't change it just because of what everyone else is doing.
(I say all this as someone who did no practice tests and received fine - read: better than P - grades last year. And no, I'm not just naturally brilliant, I don't think.)
Practice tests?!? I'm just now starting to do the reading for class. Damn it feels good to be a 3L.
