Law School Prom, Minus the Corsage
I thought the BLF Auction was a lot of fun and a big success! Good venue, great food, killer dance moves, people looking all fancy.
I haven't heard any figures but I would hope BLF raised a nice sum for the Phoenix Fellowship. The goal this year was to award two fellowships for the Class of 2013. Based on the bidding war that ensued among 1Ls during the live auction, I'd say BLF has a shot.
Highlights? Best auction items?

One of the highlights for me was the ridiculous amount of money some of the 1Ls bid for some stuff (e.g., drinks with the LRWs). Are y'all crazy?
BLF was awesome! As a 3L, I was on the fence about going but I'm so glad I did because the organizers threw such a great party! The booze was strong, the food was plentiful, the auction items were great and it was just a good time overall. Thanks!
Oh and I forgot to mention - great venue! Though I doubt they'll let us rent it out again...
The Auctioneer was great and the Auction was classy all around! I was stuffing my face with all the delicious food. I, too, can't believe how much the 1L's bid for the LRW party. Who ended up winning all the barbri classes?
Best auction item has got to be night on the town with Professor Evidence and her hubby in a chauffeured limousine!
Right, because giving money to charity is stupid. You guys are awesome.
I went to dinner with Professor Evidence and hubby last year and it was fabulous. Alas, no limo!
