Housekeeping - No, Really, Housekeeping

We all know about the budget cuts and how they've required custodial services to be sliced.

I also presume that when we were all little, our parents and/or guardians taught us that when one makes a mess one cleans it up.

Instead, someone at Boalt feels it's appropriate to throw a New Yorker on the mess and walk away (maybe it's an N&B poster, who knows).

I've attached a picture in case you have trouble identifying the spill/New Yorker combo as yours. I have no idea what the three foot long slick of brown liquid is, but I'm sure those with lower level lockers would appreciate it if you cleaned it up.

So, I don't want to make a whole big thing out of this, but it was my New Yorker. I didn't throw it on the mess -- it fell out of my notebook while I was hurriedly putting stuff in my locker on the way to class and I didn't realize it had happened until someone told me they had seen it, at which point I ran downstairs to try and find it, but it was already gone. It must have fallen out pre-spill b/c I would have noticed if there was a bunch of gross liquid outside my locker.

I totally agree that it is inappropriate to spill/throw things on the ground and I never would have done so intentionally, so I apologize for inadvertently contributing to the whole ugly mess.

But please note that it is not always possible to determine with any certainty intentional acts based on resulting circumstances.

Hahaha, I mean, a New Yorker on the ground is way different than a liquid spilled all over the place including on a misplaced New Yorker.

The New Yorker made a gross scene funny. Either way, someone dealt with it.

It would have been even funnier if you had seen me go to the lost & found looking for my New Yorker, which I really wanted back... :-(

It really tied the room together, did it not?

Wow, I wish I still had time to read the New Yorker.

Did you then pour coffee all over it to finish the job?
